Description
A small and adaptable doweling jig that enables woodworkers to make any dowel joint fast and correctly. It includes two retractable edge stops for quickly aligning boards. The self-clamping design allows for simple setup.
The JointMaster™ comes with three drill blocks and can create joints using the most common dowel pin sizes (6, 8, 10mm). Each hardened steel drill block is adjustable to accept and align centered dowel holes in boards ranging from 12mm to 38mm. Built-in scales help you align and center your dowels. The simple centering marks ensure that your holes are where you want them. If you're using conventional 12, 15, 19, or 38mm boards, the three supplied Spacer Blocks will automatically align the drill blocks and help you choose the right dowel size.
The JointMaster™ comes with built-in edge stops to prevent alignment difficulties. Simply lower, tighten, and rest your boards against them to confirm that their dowel holes are in the same position, resulting in a strong union. When producing surface joints, the three dowel alignment slots make it easy to transfer the edge dowel location to the face of the board.
The JointMaster™'s self-clamping feature eliminates the need for additional clamps to complete the process. The clamp can be shifted from the main body to the clamping wall to form various joints. Depending on your project requirements, the clamp body can be completely removed and your own clamping method employed instead.
